Red Arrows visit
Cadets & Staff of 13 (City of Exeter) Sqn ATC had the rare chance to visit the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, better known as the Red Arrows, at Exeter Airport in August as the team staged through between displays at Minehead & Falmouth.

The 13 Squadron party stood by the side of the taxiway when the nine jets of the team arrived in front of them and were then given the chance to talk to the pilots, including Flight Lieutenant Kirsty Moore, the first Woman pilot to join the Reds and an ex-member of the Wyvern Barracks based affiliated unit, the recently disbanded 13 Tornado Squadron RAF.
FS Will Stokes said “This was a fantastic opportunity that could only have happened through being a member of the ATC. Visits such as this reaffirm the links we have with RAF”
The afternoon concluded with a tour round one of the teams BAe Hawk aircraft by Flight Lieutenant Adam Littler, the teams’ Junior Engineering Officer.
13 Sqn would like to thank the Red Arrows (especially the Road Manager Squadron Leader Graeme Bagnall) & Exeter Airport Corporate Aviation Manager, Chris Beer for a memorable visit.
