The Ten Tors challange is with us again this weekend - 9 and 10 May 2009.

Although we have not got any specific teams from 13 Squadron, we are in the Wing teams for 45 and 55 miles.

We also have staff who are looking after our walkers and making sure that they have remembered everything for scrutineering and wake up bright and early for the 6am start on Saturday.

Good luck to everyone involved.

"Another successful one for the Sqn. 5 cadets from the Sqn started the event and 4 finished. We had 2 complete the 45 event (Cpl Webber & Cdt Stead) & Cdt Bright & Cdt Ostler (for the second year running) completed the 55 mile Event."

Sunday 10th May

0:10 - All the walkers should now be camped down for the night. I am sure they will have an early start. Hope they sleep well.

9:30 - The 45ers made it through tor 9 at 8:01 and have two legs to do. The 55ers made it through tor 7 at 7:13 and have three more legs to do

18:00 - Well done to all involved in the teams. The 45ers came in at 12:31 and the 55ers worried us a little but made a fantastic last leg to come in at 16:38.

Saturday 9th May

6:00 - Breakfast is finished and I can highly recommend it.

The 45ers are heading north having passed through 7 and making their way to 8, Great Mis.

The 55ers have turned the corner and heading north to tor 7, Pupers Hill. Unfortunately, according to the route card, we are one walker down. See the route cards above for details.

Friday 8th May

The cadets are gathering at the various pick up points and then heading on up to Okehampton Camp. Weather looks reasonable, just a bit breezy and a few showers.

Thursday 7th May

The camp gates are open as of 9am today to allow the base camps to be set up.

The weather looks reasonable now and although there is some rain forecast for Friday and shows on Saturday, it doesn't look too bad. Although Dartmoor has a habit of being unpredictable.
